STARTING 5IVE has been of existence since 2005 when a young group of 7th graders asked to form a Dynasty. With the help of some home town parents and dedicated players, the Starting 5ive program was well on it’s way to a successful launch.
We are here to promote a winning attitude, but most importantly encourage players to work hard in every drill and everything that they encounter. We do not recruit players, however we take pride in training and promoting our players to be successful on and off of the court. Everyone WINS when our players get accepted into the college of their choice or even better…a SCHOLARSHIP.
It is our responsibility to stay up to date with the latest training methods and coaching techniques. We achieve this by attending seminars and doing our own research during the off-season.
OUR STAFF has SEVERAL years of experience in YOUTH BASKETBALL and is passionate about exceeding your expectations.

Hey Tarik,
I just wanted to send you a thank you note. If you remember, it was a little more than a year ago that i reached out to you blindly via email. Justin had just found out that he did not make the middle school varsity team and was very down. We struggled with his AAU coach with the NJ Panthers and his confidence was rocked. He was putting on weight and was down on himself.
Since starting with you guys as part of 8-in-8, he finished that year on the middle school team. He played for his local travel team played that first Spring Season for you, coach KJ and coach D. Then he started with Velocity (you introduced us) he has gotten in very good shape and played for you in the Fall.
